Renegade Soul!
 

A longtime resident and sucessful professional musician in Austin Texas, Julieann Banks recently returned to her hometown of Shreveport Louisiana in April of this year and has already begun building her new musical projects!

Also during her time in Austin, Julieann was bassist and vocalist for such notable Austin groups as The Austin Lounge Lizards, Leeann Atherton, The Cosmic Americans (Earl Poole Ball, Casper Rawls), Patterson Barrett and more.  She also fronted national touring show bands such as Rotel & The Hot Tomatoes and The Big Time.  She also formed and managed her own award winning show bands and original bands - Apaches of Paris and The Activates!

Also an accomplished solo performer, Julieann has been concentrating all her efforts on her own brand of music she likes to call "Renegade Soul". It's Singer/Songwriter but with a soulful, more energetic twist.  She entertains her audiences with varied influences and songs that run the gamut from Townes Van Zandt to Bonnie Raitt, Patsy Cline to Prince and Beyonce and Beyond! It's no surprise Julieann has invented her own original genre to harness all that artistic inspiration and energy!  And she'll be in the studio soon recording a new CD!

 

Julieann's latest release Magazine and Race was recorded at world renown FAME studio in Muscle Shoals Alabama. The same studios where legendary recordings have been made by Aretha Franklin, Little Richard, Otis Redding and many others. 

 As well as being an award winning vocalist and songwriter and an accomplished bassist, Julieann also plays guitar, keyboards, harmonica, drums and percussion.
